From Photographer, Matt Wetzel…
“The car in question is a 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia with factory matte white paint on the body and matte black on the roof. The car features a 4.5L V8 engine producing 562HP propelling the car to 62mph in just 3.3 seconds.
“This was one of the most memorable photo shoots because we almost got arrested twice during it (Thank you, Miami Dade Police.)
“The photograph was taken just outside of Miami Beach, in a small state park. We had begun shooting on one of the small park roads when two police officers came up and began interrogating me and the car’s owner about our ‘film permits’ and threatening to arrest us if we didn’t have the right paperwork. After a heated debate about public space, and exactly how the pictures would be used, the police officers allowed the photo shoot to proceed, but made sure to get us back and issued several tickets for parking outside the lines/no state park ticket stub/impeding the flow of traffic, etc. Shortly afterwards, while we were reviewing the pictures from the first set, a young lady working in the park’s ice cream stand came over and suggested we check out the Boating gas station at the edge of the pier. She then got us permission to drive off the road and over to the gas station, where this photograph was taken.”
