NuGo Fan of the Month: Lauren Fix

The Car Coach Lauren Fix is an automotive expert who is a regular guest on major news and morning shows discussing the latest updates on cars to help drivers make smart decisions. She writes a column for multiple outlets, including Parade Magazine, NewsMax, and Car Coach Reports. She has been the National Automotive Correspondent for NewsMaxTV and USA Radio-DayBreak. She is the primary voice for all things cars on The Weather Channel and Inside Edition. She also wrote three books.

In 2005, Lauren first tried NuGo bars and fell in love. She travels almost half the year and many times there isn’t much at airports that are available or she is running between flights. “NuGo is my go food for a quick breakfast as I run to a flight, I pack two per day, just in case. Better safe than hungry,” said Lauren.

Her favorite flavors are NuGo Dark Chocolate Pretzel and Chocolate Chocolate Chip, NuGo Slim Toasted Coconut and Raspberry Truffle, and NuGo Free Dark Chocolate Crunch. When her kids are home from college, her family eats two boxes or more. Her husband, Paul Fix, is a professional race car driver. He eats NuGo bars before he gets in the race car and weekdays for a quick breakfast and mid-afternoon snack.

Lauren exclaimed, “We all have food allergies and NuGo is a trusted brand with real food that always tastes great!” Her family eats paleo. They love that NuGo bars have options for “low sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no chemicals, gluten-free, and lactose-free, but most of all – the bars taste great!”

Lauren has been racing cars since 1981, and she currently races in a 2002 Jaguar XKR-S cars with 800+ horsepower in SVRA/ HSR racing series. Her husband races professionally in IMSA in Prototype Challenge. For exercise, Lauren does Pilates on a reformer, works with a trainer, and does plenty of cardio.
