If you’re in the market for a mid-sized 4-door sedan, with class-leading features, superior fuel economy and built in the USA all for around $20,000, you may be considering the 2012 Volkswagen Passat.

I took the 2.5L SE model for a test drive. It was well equipped with ESC Electronic Stability Control, automatic dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, multi-function leather steering wheel with audio controls, 17″ alloy wheels, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, touchscreen Premium Sound System and iPod port all standard and an optional navigation center.

Some other options include Fender (the Guitar people) Premium Audio system, sunroof, comfort sport seats, chrome accents, 18″ alloy wheels and leather seating.
